Frequently Asked Questions
Do you only offer virtual appointments?
As of right now, Couples and Family therapy sessions are only offered virtually. We find it easier to fit therapy into folks busy lives when they have the opportunity to show up, as they are, from the comfort of their own home or office. However, individual sessions have a Walk & Talk option for those interested in a face-to-face experience.
Do you accept insurance?
Although we do not accept insurance, we are able to provide a "Superbill," which is a receipt for services rendered. This can be submitted to insurance companies for possible reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance through the member service number on the back of your insurance card to see if they offer "Out-Of-Network Benefits" for therapy with an MFT.
What if I have a unique family/ relationship dynamic that hasn't been mentioned on your site?
Let's talk about it! The options listed on our website are just a few of the many areas that we are equipped in. The consultation is a great time to "interview" your therapist to be sure they can hold space for the topics you might bring in. Whether it's different content areas, or more participants in the therapy itself, we can find a path that works for you.
Why does your consultation form ask about recent hospitalization?
Hospitalization due to a mental health emergency is something we take seriously at Lemon Tree. This does NOT necessarily mean we can't work together! It does mean that we may think through safety planning, collaborating with other providers, and connecting you with higher levels of care if necessary. Regardless of your situation, let's schedule a consultation and talk more about how we can work together!
